- The Bishop of Bristol, Bishop Viv Faull has been appointed a deputy lead bishop for safeguarding, liaising with diocesan bishops on behalf of the National Safeguarding Steering Group (NSSG) and with the wider Anglican Communion, and speaking on safeguarding in the House of Lords.

- The funeral of the Rt Revd John Neale, Bishop of Ramsbury 1974-1988 and lately Assistant Bishop in the dioceses of Salisbury, Bristol, Gloucester and Bath and Wells took place in Ramsbury parish church today, Friday 31st July, at 2.45pm followed by cremation.
