Music in the Diocese
The Church of England encompasses many styles of liturgy and music, to enable as many as possible to deepen their understanding of God and their relationship with him.
Church services may use the traditional 1662 Prayer Book or the modern version of it, the Book of Common Worship (2000). Informal services often display words on a screen. In each case, the music serves the needs of the service and the worshippers.
