The first step to being confirmed is to talk to your local vicar or chaplain. Search here
Confirmation Services
Confirmations take place in parish churches, in our Cathedral, in schools, hospitals and prisons. If someone is infirm they can even take place in your home. They may be for one person or for one hundred. More details and resources here
Diocesan Confirmation Services
The Diocesan confirmation services for 2022 are: 17 April, 7 May and 5 November.

Bishop’s prayer for those being confirmed:
Almighty and ever-living God,
you have given these your servants new birth
in baptism by water and the Spirit,
and have forgiven them all their sins.
Let your Holy Spirit rest upon them:
the Spirit of wisdom and understanding;
the Spirit of counsel and inward strength;
the Spirit of knowledge and true godliness;
and let their delight be in the fear of the Lord.
