Schools
We welcome you to the Salisbury Diocesan Board of Education web pages; we hope you find support and inspiration here.
Our Vision
is expressed as ‘living out God’s transforming presence’ in every aspect of our work: schools, classrooms and staff rooms, Sunday schools and youth groups, finance and buildings, parishes and communities. This is simply about becoming more like Jesus in our everyday lives, showing in all of our work, God’s goodness, offering God’s mercy and revealing God’s compassion. It is in this way that His transforming presence impact the lives and communities of all those we are called to serve. More here

Our Mission
It is our mission to work with you to build confident, effective church schools and academies that are deeply Christian, belonging at the heart of the church and community, serving society’s greater good. Simultaneously we will work with church communities, enabling children and young people to truly belong and encounter God’s love. This is our core purpose, it’s why we exist – everything we do will fit with this.
After an extensive consultation that involved many of you, and a great many conversations and prayerful reflection across the DBE team, our Strategic Plan for the next 5 years in the life of the DBE is now complete. We hope you will enjoy exploring this plan: our vision, mission, the theology which underpins all that we do and the three aims which outline the practical action and work that we will lead in the years ahead.
We deeply value our partnership with the 194 church school leaders, staff and children and their church communities. The new vision vessel – created by young people from Sarum Academy, begins to express our unique relationship as we navigate the seas of a changing education and church landscape, shaping culture for the common good. We invite you to explore our plan, our web pages and to join us on this exciting journey, ‘living out God’s transforming presence’ in the schools and the communities to which you belong.
