Bishop John Neale RIP
The funeral of the Rt Revd John Neale, Bishop of Ramsbury 1974-1988 and lately Assistant Bishop in the dioceses of Salisbury, Bristol, Gloucester and Bath and Wells took place in Ramsbury parish church today, Friday 31st July, at 2.45pm followed by cremation.

Because of the Government’s guidelines in respect of the present public health emergency, the number attending was limited to 30 people.
Bishop John’s body was received into church by the Bishop of Ramsbury and the Revd Rhona Floate on Thursday 30th July at 4.30pm when Compline was said.
The number attending Compline was also limited to 30.
The coffin then remained in church overnight before the funeral.
