Deanery Information Officers
There are 19 deaneries within the diocese. A Deanery Information Officer helps co-ordinate and distribute information to, between and from the parishes in their deanery.
Each DIO:
-
Is appointed by Deanery Synod at the first meeting of each new triennium
-
Becomes an officer of the Deanery Standing Committee (Deanery Synod Rule 6)
-
Works as closely as possible with the Rural Dean, Deanery Lay Co-Chairman, Deanery Synod Secretary and Diocesan Communications Team
-
Helps maintain and improve the flow of information between parishes within the Deanery, between the Deanery and the Diocese, and from parishes and Deanery to the Grapevine and local media
