Bishop's Council

Bishop’s Council is the standing committee of the Diocesan Synod, whose purpose is to consult with deaneries and parishes on the concerns of parishioners in our diocese, make recommendations on policy, assess action plans, and implement policy decisions.

The members of Bishop’s Council are also the Directors or Executive of the Diocesan Board of Finance and members of the Diocesan Mission and Pastoral Committee thus bringing together leadership in policy, finance and mission into one group and ensuring that decisions are made in a timely way.

Main contact

The Council directs and oversees the work of the Finance Committee, Learning for Discipleship and Ministry, the Archdeaconry Mission and Pastoral Committees, and Mission Council. The Diocesan Board of Education is a separate legal entity that is accountable to Diocesan Synod via Bishop's Council.
