Derry Hill MU invites villagers to their ‘Big Lunch’

The annual treat for the villagers of Derry Hill, Calne is to join the members of Derry Hill MU Branch for their ‘Big Lunch’ party, held in their beautiful Christ Church.

The lunch party is an informal gathering which is specifically organised by MU members to provide hospitality to the local village community and to invite them to hear about MU activities.

This year, the ‘Big Lunch’ was held in Christ Church on 4 May. A happy time was had by all and villagers and members enjoyed a delicious lunch followed by a raffle which raised £200 in aid of the MU Away From It All holiday project for families (AFIA). Members had also gathered together a large collection of Teddies. The Teddies will be given to the children taking part in the family holiday.

Congratulations and thanks to Derry Hill MU and the local community for their wonderful hospitality and generous donation.
