Beaminster Area Team
December feels overwhelming for many of us, so it’s important to take some time to reflect on what we have accomplished in the run up to 2022.
It’s been a busy year for the Diocese, we’ve played our part in Gender Based Violence, seen churches proactively seek to end homeslessness, and even seen Salisbury Cathedral School go the extra mile to do their part for the planet. The list is endless.
We couldn’t be prouder of our Diocese, and we encourage you to take some time out of your day to reflect on 2021.
The Beaminster Area Team have done just this and released a video, looking back at the year, from socially distanced carol singing, a snowy landscape, to the first signs of spring - it’s a great watch.
For those of you who don’t know, the Beaminster Area Team Ministry covers 50 square miles of West Dorset and shares borders with Devon in the Diocese of Exeter and Somerset in the Diocese of Bath and Wells. It’s made up of 14 individual parishes plus the chapel in the grounds of Mapperton House.
Bishop Karen, describes the video as:
“A wonderful pictorial review of a year in the life of one of our larger rural multi parish benefices. Joyful, hopeful, and fun. Mixed ecology indeed - parish church and fresh expressions. The art of what is possible through collaborative ministry and meeting people where they are. Not always easy but be inspired.”
