The 78th Bishop of Salisbury retired on July 3 2021

The first Bishop of Salisbury was St Osmund, appointed in 1078, when the dioceses of Sherborne and Ramsbury were merged. For a full list of Bishops, click here for Wikipedia.

 The Right Reverend Nicholas Roderick Holtam, was enthroned as Bishop of Salisbury and commenced his public ministry in the Diocese on Saturday 15 October 2011. He  retired on July 3 2021.
