Singing Together
A 4-school choir hit all the right notes when they performed together in Salisbury.
Pupils from Sarum St Paul’s, Manor Fields, Pembroke Park and Bemerton St John’s Primary Schools recently took part in a combined choir project with over 100 pupils.
The 4 schools came together for a spring concert, held at St Paul’s Church, with a full congregation of family members, school staff and special guests. They performed a series of songs both modern and traditional and shared solo parts and harmonies amongst the group.
The choir was put together last year by Sarum St Paul’s teacher Kate Peter, with 2 schools and a group of 70 children. Her vision was to expand the choir in the local community and it doubled in size this year.
"It was a hugely successful event and was an absolute joy to see our 4 school communities coming together to celebrate our children’s outstanding talents. Next year we hope to grow in size once again and we are already approaching our local schools. We hope to build our choir’s capacity and talents and perform in a large Salisbury venue in 2020, watch this space!"
