Ofsted Praises Longford's Leadership
Staff, pupils and supporters at Longford Primary School, Britford, have been celebrating a ‘Good’ Ofsted inspection.
Inspector Steffi Penny noted, “The headteacher and governors have brought about significant changes since the previous inspection.
“The quality of teaching, learning and assessment has significantly improved and is now good. As a result, pupils are making better progress than before.
“The provision for children in the early years has considerably improved. All aspects of the early years are now good. Children now have access to all the areas of learning that they need.”
Teacher expectations, pupil inclusion and behaviour, and financial management also received praise.
Headteacher Louise Knipe said, “I am thrilled that Ofsted acknowledged the school’s growth and transformation.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank my dedicated staff and great governing body, and also to thank the parents and the local community for their generous support.
“We are privileged to work with such lovely pupils.”
