Students of Laverstock St Andrews with their new 'John Lewis' Umbrella

Laverstock St Andrews has found technological inspiration from the new John Lewis Christmas Advert (you can watch it here). Instead of snow, the staff and children within the year 5 class used a large red heart. The class teacher Clare Dallard said the following;

We initially watched the new John Lewis version and look at acts of kindness as part of our PSHE curriculum - so decide to do our own interpretation as it linked similarly to our school ethos is "Do Everything in Love".

The video has been sent to John Lewis and has also been viewed by the makers of the advert too. Waitrose have gifted the children with some new books, sweets and have also made us their 'Charity of the Month'. We even got given the heart umbrella.

Such a fantastic way to use creativity and highlight living out the school's ethos.

You are now able to watch the video the children and staff created here.
