Dorset Spiritual Garden Opens
A new spiritual garden at Shillingstone CE VA Primary School has been blessed by the Bishop of Sherborne.
The Rt Revd Karen Gorham opened the new garden during a short service for children, families and friends, attended by the Revd Lydia Cook.
Bishop Karen blessed the new garden and some children read their own prayers. The Bishop then cut the ribbon, and all the children placed their individually-designed pebbles into the garden.
Headteacher Jane Whitehouse-Sharpe said, “The garden is beautiful and is a very special place that the children will be able to visit. The school thanked everyone who helped design, fundraise and build the garden – it really was a whole school community project.”
