Bedtime stories in front of the fire
World Book Day was an incredible page-turner at one Wiltshire Primary school where it was ‘book o’clock’ all day!
At Westbury Leigh Primary School the classrooms looked incredible, decorated with texts on display and virtual fireplaces for children to read, explore and share.
Head Mr Pearce led the whole school assembly with staff and children dressed in pyjamas, where they discussed the books that staff and teachers love the most.
Mr Pearce shared The Book with No Pictures by BJ Novak, which the children loved.
Jess, one of the children who enjoyed the day said:
"The book was great, we all loved it because it was funny and it made us laugh. It had no pictures but it built pictures in your mind.’
To read or not to read was not in question!"
