A Showstopping Charity Event
Staff and pupils at Shaftesbury School have created their very own Advent Bake off Competition as part of learning more about community charity work.
The event which was organised by one of the School’s pastoral workers took place after School and saw teams baking cakes that were judged and then sold off to students.
In a nod to the Great British Bake off, the bakers had to create a Showstopper with an Advent theme.
School Principal, Tim Farrer, said:
“Charity work is hugely important to us and our expectation is that all of the community will get involved in this. I believe that coming together as a group who rarely spend social time together, sharing gifts and talents to provide for others and being role models of service are the key points here."
Shaftesbury School is a member of the Southern Academy Trust.
