Welcoming refugees from Afghanistan
UK citizens are helping Afghan refugees entering the country and looking to resettle in a number of ways - by donating clothes and other items, or by providing temporary accommodation.

Social Justice Manager Colin Brady says:
"Many people from across the Diocese had very good experiences providing support with the programme to place Syrian refugees across Dorset and Wiltshire. I hope that similar arrangements will make it possible for more people to help with welcoming those who will arrive here from Afghanistan.
"Our local authorities are looking for people who may be able to offer a home to rent under the scheme. Suitable homes will have to have their own entrance, three or four bedrooms, and will probably need to be close to towns and services.
"At the moment we are not looking for spare rooms or shared accommodation. Other ways of providing support will become clearer as people arrive but some suggestions, including specialist local charities that would appreciate some additional cash at this time, are available on the Diocesan website [here]."

Alternatively, there are numerous campaigns and charities like Christian Aid, Unicef and Save the Children looking for help or assistance at this time in supporting Afghan refugees in the UK.
