Warminster's Pandemic Python
During lockdown, a colourful reptile has snaked its way around a seat in the grounds of St Lawrence Chapel in Warminster town centre.
As part of the Church's mission outreach to the town during coronavirus, the "Pandemic Python," which is made up of coloured stones decorated by the local community, is growing in length every day.
The Revd Carole Owen explains more about the project organised by local mum and teacher Amanda Williams:
"Children and adults are invited to decorate stones in a colourful way which makes people happy as they walk by.
"The invitation is to write a message on the stone perhaps for someone you haven't seen for a while telling them that you love them. Or alternatively to write a prayer.
"This project follows on from the colourful Rainbows of Hope project with rainbows in many house and shop windows in the town.
"So far 183 stones have been added. It really lifts everyone's spirits."
It is hoped this "Pandemic Python" will continue to grow as more prayers and thoughts are added, raising smiles and spirits along the way.
