Vote on Women Bishops Legislation ***Updated

Synod voted 'no' to the current legislation by a narrow margin.

UPDATE: Voting numbers and percentages:

Bishops: For 44, Against 3, Abstaining 2 [90% For]

Clergy: For 148, Against 45, Abstaining 0 [77% For]

Laity: For 132, Against 74, Abstaining 0 [64% For]

Totals: For 324, Against 122, Abstaining 2 [72% For]

Each House needed a two-thirds majority: the vote was lost due to a less than two-thirds majority in the House of Laity.
