This one deserves a Blue Peter badge!
Two young Blue Peter fans from Dorset have used their church to raise funds for Children in Need.
Bryony (aged 9) and William (aged 8) decided to hold a Bring and Buy event at Saint Mary’s, Morden in the Red Post Benefice after watching their favourite TV progrmme, as Bryony explains:
"William and I are both big fans of a TV programme called Blue Peter. For Children in Need, Blue Peter were encouraging children to hold Bring and Buy sales to raise money. William and I decided to do a Bring and Buy sale at the church (Saint Mary’s, Morden) to raise money for Children in Need.
"At our Bring and Buy sale we did different activities like spinner art and paper flowers as well as having lots of things to sell and eat.
"The teas and coffees were very popular and there was a range of different cakes to choose from.
"At the stalls there were things to buy including Tomte/Little Nisse (a Scandinavian traditional ornament), hand-made cards, Christmas hair bands, tree decorations and lots of crocheted and knitted goodies, as well as a raffle.
"Thanks to all the support and people who came along, we raised over £200 and had lots of fun in the process!"
