There's a new silver badge in town

by Michael Ford last modified 05 Sep, 2020 11:34 AM

As an Eco Diocese, we welcome any news of new Eco Church Awards, courtesy of leading conservation charity A Rocha.

Step forward, St Paul's Fisherton Anger, Salisbury - recipient of a Silver Eco Church award.

Writing to Operations Manager Nick Baker, A Rocha's Sara Jeffery said:

"I would love to see more churches make the most of their limited land available in the way that you have!"

Saying she was delighted to confirm the Silver Eco Church Award she added:

"Well done to everyone involved in reaching this milestone!"

You can read all about St Paul's Eco Church journey on their website.

A Rocha UK are also producing regular Eco Church Connect and Wild Christian emails.

If you would like to receive these emails which offer news from the Eco Church network and practical ways to enjoy, nurture and defend nature close to home and will support you and others to connect faith with nature in the coming weeks and months, please sign up via arocha.org.uk.

Some of the ideas could be shared wider within your community for their encouragement, too.
