The sound of music

by Michael Ford last modified 09 Oct, 2019 03:57 PM

Branksome St Aldhelm's will be alive to the sound of music this autumn.

The sound of music

Branksome's piano has been recently re-framed. Good timing!

Every Tuesday lunchtime between now and the end of November, the Poole church will host series of lunchtime recitals as part of their bi-annual music festivals in the spring and autumn.

Ray Beverley, Impresario & Events Secretary, Friends of St Aldhelm's Church says:

"The recitals are mainly by high quality classical performers who are past or present members of well known orchestras, maybe music teachers in local schools or Directors of Music in local churches."

And to make sure those who attend don't miss out on a meal:

"We also offer a fresh and tasty light lunch, teas, coffees and cake before the performances." he said.

The concerts started on the 1st of October with an oregan recital by Philip Sandom.

Next Tuesday's recital (15th October) features Brian Sturtridge on piano.

The full programme is accessible via our Events page.
