Alabare welcomes new Senior Chaplain
On Maundy Thursday afternoon, staff, trustees, volunteers, supporters and family members came together for a joyful celebration at Alabaré’s Development Centre at Old Sarum for the licensing of the Revd Gill Turner-Callis as Senior Chaplain by Bishop Andrew.
Trustee, Vernon White, gave the address focussing on Alabaré’s work being a wonderful example of faith in action, and giving examples of how the staff support those who are homeless and vulnerable with care, generosity, respect and compassion. Volunteer chaplains led worship and read prayers that had been written by the Learning Disability community, and there were contributions from founder John Proctor and CEO Andrew Lord. Welcome Gill to Alabaré and to Salisbury Diocese!
