The Big Lent Read 2021
As part of Lent in the Church of England, the Archbishop of Canterbury encourages us to read a particular book and use resources provided by the National Church, and this year's theme is very much about sharing our Christian life and hope with others.
In times of uncertainty, change and pandemic, we all need a sure hope to cling to: a hope that many have not yet discovered. This year’s 'Live Lent' is a joyful invitation to make witnessing to the truth, reality and hope found in Christ a normal part of the Christian life - a natural overflow of devotion to Christ.
This year's Archbishop's Lent Book, which has largely inspired the resources, is 'Living His Story' by Hannah Steele. A free downloadable guide for groups wishing to study the weekly themes from 'Living His Story' together, produced by SPCK, is now available to download here.
Hannah introduces the book in person, here.
Managing Director of St Andrews Bookshops Steve Barnett says:
"Join us during Lent 2021 as Hannah Steele leads us through her new book ‘Living His Story’. As we journey through this book, Hannah will unpack liberating and practical ways of sharing the gospel story afresh.
"Hannah will be sharing with us how we can live Jesus’ story in our own lives simply by being the people God made us and allowing people to be drawn to him through our natural gifts."
