Take part in Songs of Praise in Salisbury Cathedral!
The BBC will be filming and recording the Young Chorister of the Year competition for BBC TV and Radio 2, and congregational singing for an Advent episode of Songs of Praise.
All staff, volunteers, congregation, families, friends, congregation, and Cathedral Friends are welcome to take part in congregational hymn singing on 23rd October. The BBC team is especially keen to hear from enthusiastic singers, who can lead the viewers at home in the singing.
Please feel free to pass on the invitation to any other congregations, choirs or friends who might want to get involved.
Signing up is simple. Just email the Song of Praise Audience Coordination team with your details putting the following words in the subject line of your email: ‘Songs of Praise – Salisbury Cathedral’.

Schedule, Saturday 23rd October:
09.45 Doors open. The BBC will provide hymn books.
10.15 Recording starts
12.30 Recording ends and Cathedral reopens to the public.
12.30 -13.30 The Bell Tower Tea Rooms open for takeaways, so that singers can enjoy a tea/ chat on the lawns afterwards.
PLEASE NOTE: THE CATHEDRAL WILL NOT BE HANDLING ANY APPLICATIONS TO ATTEND. ALL REQUESTS MUST GO VIA THE BBC.
