Spotlight on Acorn Education Trust: West Ashton

by Michael Ford last modified 26 Mar, 2021 11:26 PM

As we celebrate the work done by education trusts in our Diocese, the children at West Ashton Church of England Primary School, part of Acorn Education Trust, have been working hard in Years 3 and 4.

Each day they have explored a Learning Pack which includes maths, reading, SPAG [spelling, punctuation and grammar], writing, topics, spelling and comprehension, and additional subjects are covered throughout the week.

Every child has a 1-2-1 meeting with their class teacher Mrs Fox, and teaching assistant Mrs Bridewell, allowing phonics, interventions and guided work to continue over lockdown.

A Class Dojo is used to share the children’s work, support each other, and access class successes.
