Ring 3 times for a thank-you
A Dorset church is ringing 3 separate Quarter Peals throughout February to give thanks for the different groups who have enabled them to complete their Bell Restoration.
The ringers at St Mary's Lytchett Matravers held the first of the celebratory peals on Monday, which gave thanks to all the various grant bodies who gave grants to our Bell Restoration in 2019.
They will hold another peal on Saturday 22nd to give thanks to "all those who made donations towards our Bell Restoration" and then on Tuesday 25th of February the peal will thank "all those who supported our Bell Restoration in 2019 through donations, helping at events, visiting events or supporting in many other ways."
A Quarter Peal is rung in celebration, thanks, remembrance, or for special reasons and lasts for around 45 mins without stopping.
