The annual sponsored cycle ride, walk or horse ride, devides the funds raised equally between the organisers, the Wiltshire Historic Churches Trust and the church of those who take part.

Last year the 350+ participants across Wiltshire raised over £60,000. This year organisers want to better the amount.

Riders/ walkers visit as many or as few churches as they like. They can be sponsored for the number of churches visited, or with a lump sum.

There is no entrance fee and no set itinerary. You can choose your own route, and even a stroll between one church and another can count as participation.

Oraganisers say it is an opportunity to explore the beautiful countryside and historic churches of Wiltshire, either as an individual or in a small group and raise much-needed funds at the same time.

The Wiltshire Historic Churches Trust exists to promote the county’s churches and in particular to give financial help to churches of any denomination needing to pay for repairs and enhancements.

Last year it was able to give grants totalling £74,000 to 40 churches.
