A seven-metre globe will float under the Spire Cross at Salisbury Cathedral as part of the Salisbury International Art Week.
GAIA, a stunning installation by Bristol-based artist Luke Jerram, features NASA imagery of the Earth’s surface and marks 50 years since the moon landings of 1969.
The installation provides an opportunity to see our planet on this scale, and will be in the Cathedral throughout the Arts Festival which runs from 24 May to 9 June.
Also this year, Jonathan Dove, one of Britain’s finest contemporary composers, is Guest Festival Director.
