Many parishes and schools across the diocese commemorated the cessation of World War 1 hostilities at the weekend.

There were major events at Salisbury Cathedral and in Wimborne, as well as gatherings in Mere, Royal Wootton Bassett, Hamworthy, Blandford and many more.
Weymouth beach was the site of poignant pieces of art, with the incoming tide washing away the shapes of soldiers created in the sand.
