Only 13 weeks till Christmas!
It's never to early to start advertising your Christmas events, especially when they are as big and as popular as the St Thomas’s Decorated Tree Festival.
With 100 decorated trees and nativity scenes, the Festival opens on Tuesday 3rd December and runs through to Sunday. St Thomas' has begun its advertising campaign and is encouraging local organisations, companies and individuals to apply their talents to create an unforgettable array of Christmas Festivity and celebration – all to raise money for nominated local charities.
This year Care Home Volunteers and Family Counselling Trust are the featured local causes.
Last year over 15,000 visitors to the Festival contributed over £15,000 to charity!
Christmas tree festivals are a wonderful way to bring people into your church and allow you to advertise your Christmas services as well as tell the real story of Christmas to non churchgoers.
Many of our 437 parishes hold Christmas Tree Festivals and if you are planing one this year, let us know.
At St Thomas's local choirs, ensembles and individual musicians provide a continual programme of seasonal music and entertainment and those interested can also take part in workshops to make Christmas wreaths and table decorations.
