Now give us some Figgy Pudding!
Throughout the Diocese, our churches and halls were open for some very special Christmas Dinners this festive season.
Julie Walker, the Churchwarden for St James' Church, Ludgershall in the Wiltshire Benefice of Lugershall and Tidworth, tells us about one such event:
"We held a Christmas Dinner on Christmas Day for those who were on their own in our communties of Ludgershall and Faberstown.
"The guests sat down to a full Christmas Dinner, turkey, ham and all the trimmings, followed by a selection of puddings including traditional home-made Christmas Puddings.
"Between the courses there was entertainment and carol singing. We thank everyone for their very generous support especially our Medical team at Castle Practice in Ludgershall.
"We were able to enjoy a super meal – plus each guest went home with a generous ‘Goody Bag’ and a piece of home-made Christmas Cake’!"
