New RFO for Sherborne is Dorset native

by Michael Ford last modified 19 Mar, 2020 08:44 PM

The Rural Hope team welcomes on board its newest member, the Revd Margaret Preuss-Higham, as Rural Field Officer for the Sherborne area.

Margaret, a House for Duty priest in the rural Benefice of Abbotsbury, Portesham and Langton Herring has lived in West Dorset all her life.

She was ordained in 2010 having previously worked as a hairdresser, travelling sometimes off the beaten track in deep rural Dorset. She is married to Roger and they have a son Tom, who works in outdoor adventure.

Margaret said:

"Rural life and rural ministry are a challenge for many reasons, and I am excited and looking forward to working with others to look at new ways of sharing God’s love, the Gospel and God’s plan for his created world.

"I am married to Roger and we have one son Tom, who works in outdoor adventure with PGL. I have a love for photography, which is inspired by the beautiful Dorset countryside."

Sarah Keen from the Rural Hope Team said:

"We are sad that Alice, our current RFO Sherborne, is moving on but delighted to have a west Dorset native stepping into her shoes!"
