Light at the end of the tunnel
Talbot Village Trust, the grant giving charity, has provided Wimborne Minster with £50,000 to fund vital lighting and electrical repairs throughout the building.

This grant has enabled the Minster’s major renovation project, costing in excess of £225,000, to be completed this year. Using this sum from the Trust, the life-expired lighting and electrical installation within the Minster has been replaced with a modern, low-energy and safety compliant system.
Wimborne Minster was founded some 1,300 years ago and continues to provide a dedicated place of worship for members of the town and surrounding community.
Rector Andrew Rowland said:
“We are very grateful to have received this support from Talbot Village Trust at such a difficult time. The funding will ensure the Minster can continue to serve the community well into the future. It is important to both maintain and improve the built heritage of our ancient Minster Church, in the 900th anniversary year of the Norman building.”

Talbot Village Trust is a grant giving charity that provides support to charities based in Bournemouth, Poole and the surrounding areas. The Trust meets biannually and is accepting applications for funding from both previous and new applicants in the area before the Trustees meet in spring 2021.
