Lap of honour
Epitomising the determination we need in these changing times, our parishioners are fundraising whatever the weather.
On Saturday 5th December, a very wet and blustery morning, Chris Slocock completed his 900 laps of Wimborne Minster.
Chris was joined by Bishop Karen, Rector Andrew Rowland, Town Crier Chris Brown, his wife Yayu, Curate Nick Wells with his youngest child Etienne, Churchwarden Peter Cook, and Minster Press Officer Anthony Oliver.
Chris had started his marathon - or rather, the equivalent of 4 marathons - at the end of September, with the aim of raising £900 to celebrate the 900th anniversary of the start of the Minster Building as we know it today.

Anthony Oliver says:
"He has well and truly achieved this target, having already raised £2000 for the Minster Makes Music Appeal. Chris is now planning to continue with the aim of completing 1000 laps by Christmas Day. He thanks everyone for their support with donations so far and said that it is not too late as you can still support Chris and the Appeal by accessing the website!"
