Jesus College hits the right note in Wiltshire!
In a first for Edington, the Jesus College Choir from Cambridge will lead the Advent concert in the Priory Church.
The Edington Arts Advent Concerts have become musical highlights in the lead up to Christmas in the Wiltshire village.
Chapel Choirs and organ scholars from Merton, New, Magdalen and Keble Colleges in Oxford have all come to sing beautiful, complex, old and new music written for the Advent and Christmas periods, but this year, the Advent Concert welcomes its first choir from Cambridge.
The Jesus College Choir, under the direction of Richard Pinel, has a very busy schedule of concerts and recordings in addition to its ‘everyday’ duties singing College services, and so the organisers are delighted to have the choir accept their invitation to perform in the Priory Church on Saturday 7th December at 7.30pm.
The evening will be topped off with mulled wine and mince pies in the interval.
