It's off to Market for our Chaplains
Chaplains from across our Diocese went off to market this week.

The chaplains, who minister across a vast range of areas from gypsies and travellers, prisons and schools, to colleges, law courts, hospitals, hospices and agriculture, had come to the Livestock Centre in Salisbury to explore what it means to minister to the farming and rural business community.
The event was organised by the Revd Richard Kirlew, who is the Lead Chaplain in the Sherborne Deanery Rural Chaplaincy. Richard, who is also Agricultural Chaplain, said:
"Farming and its place in society has some very particular and difficult problems at present. These include Brexit uncertainty; the price farmers are paid for their produce; TB; isolation and loneliness; and rural payments, ie subsidies. The Church is very well placed to minister to those who provide us all with our daily food."
The auction is run by Southern Counties Auctioneers. Chief Executive and Senior Auctioneer Simon Whalley explained the intricacies of auctions to the chaplains.
The Diocesan Chaplaincy Forum meets regularly to share ideas and experiences, together with fellowship.
