It's now 2021 for St Edward's Way

by Michael Ford last modified 19 Mar, 2020 09:03 PM

The St Edward's Way Pilgrimage has been postponed.

Bishop Karen, who had planned to lead the pilgrimage along the 30-mile pilgrimage route from Wareham to Shaftesbury, said:

"The St Edward’s Way pilgrimage planned for the end of the month has been cancelled. We shall walk it sometime in 2021. Thanks to all those who have way-marked the route. Stay safe and continue to enjoy our beautiful countryside."

Way-marking in preparation of the pilgrimage that would inaugurate the route, named after St Edward, the boy King murdered at Corfe Castle and orginally buried at Wareham, was completed by the Ramblers across Dorset last week.
