Introducing Amber and Grace
With Digital Resource Officer Michael Ford moving on after 13 years, the search was on for a successor – or successors. Step forward Amber Jackson and Grace McSharry.
Our two new colleagues will be working three days a week each, with Amber taking over the main editing of Grapevine, Working Together and our Financial Times and Grace handling web, social media and data.
Amber has operated in the faith-based, digital communications industry for Christian Publishing and Outreach (CPO) and multiple Diocese, across a range of disciplines including graphic design, social media management and video production.
Projects she has delivered include the 2017 'Thy Kingdom Come' video series and social media training to over 200 individuals throughout the UK and Europe. She lives on the outskirts of Brighton and is keen to bring her passion for digital communications to serve the people of the Salisbury Diocese.
Grace says:
"I entered the world of comms in her first job after university, where I studied languages. I have spent my career so far soaking up knowledge in order to communicate and engage with audiences in the best way possible. I am a champion of clear communication, and love being able to share stories that celebrate God at work, or bring people together.
"Outside of work, I’m a mum to my bubbly one year old son, I’m a singer, and I love a visit to an aquarium more than most people!
"I’m really looking forward to working with the Diocese, hearing what you are up to in your parishes, and getting to talk to some of you."
Grace will be working Monday, Wednesday and Friday, while Amber will be working across the week and available on a Wednesday and Friday.
