Humble Access in our time

by Michael Ford last modified 11 Jun, 2019 05:50 PM

The Diocese's Prayer Book Society will be discussing the topic of 'the Prayer of Humble Access in our time' at their June meeting.

The meeting takes place on 22 June at Newhouse, Redlynch.

Alison Bennett, Chairman said:

"Professor David Catchpole coming to talk to us on ‘praying the Prayer of Humble Access in our time’, which promises to be a fascinating (and possibly provocative!) topic. David is an excellent speaker and sure to be entertaining and enlightening."

Speaking about the venue for the talk, she said:

"This is the lovely house and garden of Mr George Jeffreys. We have been before and feel most privileged to have been invited again."

The meeting will start at 2.15 as usual. David’s talk and discussion will be followed by tea and the opportunity (weather permitting) to explore the gardens.

Evensong at the church of St. Mary’s, Redlynch, will be at 4.45 to allow time to drive the short distance involved.
