How are our children doing?
The Children’s Society, a key partner for the Diocese in working with children, young people and families, celebrates its 140th anniversary this year and continues to work hard on their behalf.
The charity publishes an annual ‘State of the Nation’ report on children’s well-being, attitudes and issues, and this year sees the 10th such document published.
Gill Ford, Relationship Manager for the Diocese, says:

“The 2021 report will provide up to date information on national trends in children’s well-being, their thoughts about the future and how they feel about Covid-19 more than one year on.
“2021 is an exciting double milestone for The Children’s Society as we celebrate our 140th birthday and the release of our 10th Good Childhood Report.
“Our volunteers and supporters are extremely valued at The Children's Society, and we're delighted to use this time to recognise and celebrate you and your contribution in supporting some of the most vulnerable and amazing children and young people that we work with.”
There will be an update from Jim Davis, Head of Youth Engagement, and Jackie Thomas, who leads the South-West Exploitation Prevention programme. Tea and cake will be served.
The Good Childhood Event 2021 event takes place on Wednesday 6th October, 2.00pm at St Francis’ Church, Salisbury. www.st-francischurch.org.uk
There is car parking available at the church itself, and also free street parking.
