Hope for breakfast

The Revd Belinda Marflitt has put together a team made up of people from the church and local community. They have also engaged local farmers to ensure as much of the menu is as locally sourced as possible. 

Rural Field Officer for Dorset, Canon Richard Hancock, says, "It was fantastic to be at the launch of a new Rural Hope initiative. It's been great to work along side the team as their RFO, offering advice and encouragement. The bacon is amazing!"

"St Nick’s pop-up breakfast café was the inspired idea of Jules Hosford and Emma Corry following a very successful Festival for Harvest in September. For a week, St Nicholas Church was transformed, by music, craft and art and, of course, locally produced food! The Church was buzzing and, importantly, the community saw St Nicholas in a different light; not just as a place for worship, but as a welcoming space where people could gather and share fellowship.  The pop-up café emerged from a desire to keep the momentum going. Come along and see what is going on!" 

St Nick's Café is open on Thursday mornings 8.30am - 12pm, serving full English Breakfasts, home baked cakes, and hot drinks. People are also welcome to pop in just for a chat.
