Framing fundraising
Without regular services, many of our churches are losing much needed income, but one Wiltshire church has come up with a fun way to raise some funds during the lockdown.
St John the Evangelist Studley has launched a photo competition and it is open to everyone.
Budding photographers will pay £7 to submit a photo, or £20 if they enter all 4 categories: Something About Me, My Favourite Photo, Something About Church, and My Lockdown.
The Church promises a Gold, Silver and Bronze placing for the top 3 photographs. Category winners will be able to design and have printed for them a set of greetings cards, while the overall winner will be presented with a photo book.
You do not have to be part of the Church or live in Trowbridge, but you can only submit one photo per category, along with a description that enhances the story the photo tells.
The competition will close on Wednesday 3rd June 2020, with the winners being announced shortly afterwards.
