Following in the footsteps of the Celtic Saints

by Michael Ford last modified 02 Oct, 2019 10:04 AM

If you have ever wanted to go on a guided pilgrimage following in the footsteps of the early Celtic saints, then 2020 is the year for you.

A series of Christian pilgrimages to the more remote parts of Britain and Ireland is being organised by the non-profit-making and highly experienced Journeying Team.

David Gleed,from the Team, explains:

"We offer a warm Christian welcome to all.

"Our aim is to enable any walker, hiker, pilgrim to choose a journey that is right for them. Exploring the outdoors is all part of the Journeying experience.

"Journeying started life in 1988, leading small groups of people on pilgrimage. We remain non-profit-seeking with a spiritual ethos and a faith journey in a small, informal, personal way.

"Leaders are volunteers and come from all walks of life, and from a wide range of denominations, from ordained ministers to charity workers and business people. They are all experienced in leading group walking holidays and have discovered a closeness to God through travel to remote places and have a passion to share this with others.

"Our aim is to enable any walker, hiker, pilgrim to choose a journey that is right for them. Exploring the outdoors is all part of the Journeying experience."
