Experiencing Ministry

by Michael Ford last modified 30 May, 2019 05:02 PM

Do you know a young person who would benefit from the Ministry Experience Scheme?

The Revd Tony Edmonds says: "If so, we still have some places available this September for 18 to 30 year olds who want to explore what it would be like to be part of real life ministry in the Church of England.

"Places are available for young people to explore both rural and urban ministry, either living with a community in Poole or Salisbury, with others exploring Christian ministry, or living in the heart of rural communities around our Diocese.

"In both contexts, those on the scheme will be given a chance to immerse themselves in local ministry in our Diocese and there will also be plenty of time and space to reflect, learn and grow in the Christian life.

"The scheme, which runs from September 2019 to July 2020 also includes some theological training at Sarum College and elsewhere and participants will get there own personal theological and personal mentors while they are on the scheme

"All expenses will be paid for those on the scehme and there will also be an extra £35 per week personal spending money included."
