Easter Egg Trees

by Michael Ford last modified 09 Apr, 2020 06:09 AM

With the church closed, our Rural Field Officer for Dorset has devised a plan to bring the communities together while in lockdown this Easter.

Canon Richard Hancock has suggested that everyone in the villages of Sixpenny Handley and Pentridge decorate an Easter Egg this week and then hang them on 2 trees, one in each village.

Launching his appeal on Facebook, Richard said:

"We are asking everyone to make a decorated Easter Egg to hang on the wonderful cherry tree in St Mary’s Churchyard and the tree on The Green at Pentridge.

"Obviously please observe social distancing rules when you do this."

Richard has also kindly provided a link to a YouTube Video that shows just how to decorate the eggs.
