Debbie says Thank You
Debbie Albery, who has retired after 14 years working in the Sherborne Office, has sent her heartfelt thanks to all those who have thanked her for her service and wished her well for the future.
Debbie said:
"I'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who contributed to my extremely generous leaving gifts and to all who came along to make my farewell so special. I've enjoyed a wonderful career in the Diocese and will miss friends and colleagues very much."
Debbie retired at Christmas and colleges and friends said a special goodbye to her at a special farewell tea, held at South Canonry.
Debbie served a succession of archdeacons and bishops in Dorset over the years and at the same time has been Milton and Blandford’s Deanery Secretary; PCC Secretary of Winterborne Whitechurch; a Lay Pastoral Assistant, caring for the housebound; Lay Pastoral Assistant trainer for Milton and Blandford; a Lay Worship Leader (LWL); and a Night Stop host, frequently providing a bed in her home for teenagers in crisis.
She will continue to serve in her own benefice as an LWL and on the Sudan Committee for the pre-Lambeth Conference arrangements.
