Cultivating God’s Presence

by Michael Ford last modified 09 Jul, 2021 10:07 PM

To cope with changing times, and connect with their Maker in fresh ways, many are rediscovering daily and weekly cycles of prayer, not only as spiritual disciplines, but often for their own well-being.

Ecumenical minister Dr Richard Roberts, based in Beaminster, has written a book for those seeking a sense of being rooted into ancient, timeless tradition as they live their daily Christian lives.

'Cultivating God’s Presence' introduces readers to patterns and rhythms for living, with the aim of fostering the living presence of God in the believer, day to day.

Inspired by accounts of Celtic monastics, Richard Roberts adds his personal experience and biblical insights to create an approach to Christian living for today's world.

Anne de Leyser, Director of Local Houses of Prayer, says in her review:

"'Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls.'* This is a book that will help pilgrims who are hungry for the Presence of God do just that.

"There are few books that when I read, I don’t want to put down, fewer still that when I have read, I want to read all over again. This is one such book."

Richard Roberts is a trustee of the International Charismatic Consultation and of the Ffald-y-Brenin Retreat Centre in Pembrokeshire, which co-ordinates Local Houses of Prayer.

'Cultivating God’s Presence' is available from Christian booksellers, Waterstones and Amazon.
