COVID-19 Update

by ajack last modified 03 Dec, 2021 10:19 AM

Please keep checking our social and website for updates meanwhile at Church House we are working on keeping people safe.

As you will be aware from the weekend we are all conscious of the as yet unknown risk associated with the omicron variant. We are also beginning to see an increase in colleagues at Church House testing positive for COVID-19.

While the efficacy of the vaccines with respect to omicron remains uncertain and as a precautionary measure to look after each other, from 30 November, we will be asking all visitors to Church House to wear a mask when entering the building

A gentle reminder of guidance on what to do if you test positive and what to do if you have been in close contact at work with someone who tests positive.

If you have been in close contact with someone who tests positive you do not need to self-isolate if any of the following apply:

  • You are fully vaccinated
  • You are taking part in or have taken part in an approved COVID-19 vaccine trial
  • You are not able to get vaccinated for medical reasons

However if get any COVID-19 symptoms, you should self-isolate immediately and get a PCR test. Also if you are contacted by the NHS Test and Trace and informed you must isolate, you must do so.

If you test positive for COVID-19 must self-isolate immediately and continue for the next 10 full days, even if you are fully vaccinated.

If you are self-isolating and feel well enough, you can continue to work at home but if you feel unwell, do take the time you need to recuperate.

To keep each other safe, please continue to follow good practice:

  • Sign in and out of Church House so we have an accurate list of who is in should we need to contact individuals
  • Please take your own LFT at home before coming into the office on a regular basis
  • Please wear a mask when entering and moving around Church House.
  • Continue to use hand sanitiser and anti-bac wipes
  • Arrange virtual meetings where possible
  • Open windows and ventilate the room where possible
