Consider the lilies
Could you provide a thought for the day?
We are getting lots of suggestions of how we might explore new ways of being Church.
Lucyann Ashdown, Spiritual Care Lead and Weldmar Hospicecare would love people from around the Diocese to contribute a daily/ weekly ‘thought’.
"This could be a poem, prayer, etc. It might add to our ways of being church in this context" she said.
And Lucyann has started the ball rolling with this reflection from Revd Prof Helen L Leathard, Trustee of the Guild of Health & St Raphael.
If you have a thought or poem you would like to share, do email us.
Weldmar provides free specialist end of life care for people living in Dorset in the community, at home, and in their hospice.
They have a dedicated team of nurses, doctors, therapists, social workers and counsellors, but only 21% of their funds are provided by the NHS – the rest is raised for the Dorset charity thanks to the support of the local community.
The Guild of Health and St Raphael work at the interface of science, theology and human experience to explore the potential of Christian spiritual healing.
